pizza, soyrizo scramble, spaghetti


Pizza from papa johns (all the veggies, pineapple only on half) last night. dr pepper.

had a slice while making breakfast this morning. leftover pizza is the best! now i just have to avoid eating those extra garlic sauce packs!
garlic sauce=evil.

I drank some kombucha tea.
while preparing
breakfast, which was a soyrizo scramble with collards,
cauliflower (tastes like potato in strong dishes like this), onions, spicy chipotle black bean sauce, garlic mashed into walnuts(great way to sneak nuts and seeds into
your diet, mashing garlic with them disguises flavor and adds texture) over brown rice (leftover from yesterday's sushi)

Then went to get some boba taro tea, only SOME boba is vegan because some places use cow's milk. boba is just sweetened flavored tea with tapioca pearls. This place was by city college, they use soy instead of milk, and non-dairy sweetening flavor powder stuff.
a banana for snack.

later had 2 strawberry margaritas, corn chips and 2 types of salsas (green chunky and thin red), lime, guacamole.
pica fresa mexican candy + tamarind pulp
(went to mexico, almost bought a tortilla press).
then i ate another banana.
Dinner was spaghetti with garden marinara sauce (prego) (mushrooms and peppers mostly) and yams.

and later, wasabi seaweed snack.

Evolution fast food, chicken chipotle sandwich :)

Evolution fast food 5th and quince st. chicken chipotle sandwich with green juice (kale something something) and raw breakfast scramble. that was yesterday's lunch. breakfast was raisin bran. dinner was pasta with collards garlic and tomatoes. late night supper was sushi from north park sushi, university and ray st. yummy!

today i slept in and didn't leave the house until 1pm. but got tofu mushroom enchiladas with rice and beans and ginger kombucha from Pokez Mexican Eatery 8th and E downtown. thats all i've had all day. i'm still full. days off work are evil like that. i'm gonna post more pictures. i feel like its hard to visualize the nonsense i post otherwise.

spicy stir fry, split pea dal w turnip, trix cereal

yerba mate tea (cold brewed)
mashed potatoes and gravy (cambells mushroom, potatoes made with garlic cashew cream). spicy stir fry with red chilis (pizza packet) sesame seeds, onions, yellow squash, collards cut into tiny pieces (so they become invisible to the taste buds), and cauliflower. a splash of leftover marinade, mashed almonds, garlic salt, mixed with a considerable amount of flaxseed oil once the dish cooled a little. served over long grain rice with quinoa mixed in. nutritional yeast and kelp powder sprinkled on top. (i just went to whole foods and bought some health food stuff)
tension tamer tea with catnip (celestial seasonings). tums (for calcium). peach. bok choy salad with chia seeds and sesame seeds sprinkled over balsamic vinaigrette. grapes. berry juice (mostly blueberry, one of those antioxidant juices). otter pop (popsicle). rice and quinoa with sauteed eggplant, garlic, mashed/powdered walnuts, and sesame seeds. (i'm on a sesame seed kick)

note here that i just got off work so i'm super hungry. in a minute i'm heading downtown to pay rent, so i might get a chipotle burrito.

dinner: pasta mentioned above, 1 fatty boiled artichoke with slivers of garlic in every leaf, dipped in margarine. a few pieces of toasted whole wheat sourdough bread, toasted. chocolate covered peanut butter filled pretzels. yerba mate tea. red wine (cab)

lunch: brown rice and yellow split peas mixed up with seracha hot sauce and soybean oil. grapefruit. apple. sunflower seeds, almonds, walnuts, raisins.

orange, sunflower seeds and raisins. gen mai cha tea (green tea with roasted rice).
a kielbasa soysage (tofurkey). oatmeal. an apple.

gnocchi (homemade potato pasta) with garlic sage sauce (i used leftover liquid from the seitan i made recently). popcorn. hummus, tons and tons of hummus. saltines.

apples, hummus, french bread, hummus, saltines, orange juice, strawberry coconut kefir drink, tofurkey with veganaise and dijon. fried potatoes. raw nori sheets. (went on a road trip). trail mix. bananas. pancakes. pizza. burritos.
2 julian apple pies (from the julian deli. i shared), lots more tofurkey sausages and wine. sourkraut. grapefruits. seitan. chips and salsa. pancakes. cranberries. apple.bean burrito plate w/ rice and beans. and its all a blur. that covers all i can remember for a week ago... may have been more.

brownies, energy drink, jicama, chili, etc etc

this morning i had chocolate brownies for breakfast. chased it down with some monster energy drink, ate some jicama. for lunch i had chili with potatoes and whole wheat bread. a pickle. the rest of that jicama. a couple carrots. an apple, an orange. peach ice tea. and thats where i am now. yesterday i ate del taco bean burritos and a veggie works burrito. a bowl of churros cereal. pancakes with blackstrap molasses, syrup. potatoes with cauliflower and soyrizo all cooked up together with garlic and rosemary. grapefruit juice. spaghetti with tons of meaty sauce (obviously faux), chilibeans with 'buttered' toast, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich (strawberry), a few carrots. rice with stir fried veggies (zucchini, squash, bell peppers, onions, carrots, kale, etc.), dolmas. day before that i ate a couple lentil corn tacos with lots of lettuce and salsa, hash browns, oranges, lemonade, veggie pad thai with extra peanut sauce, spaghetti with crumbled seitan, rice and beans (gallo pinto), beer, brownies, coconut juice, tamarindo candy.... um... i dont know what else. lots of snacking with leftovers. another stir fry. i'll try to keep up better with this blog.

thai food and beer

so after that last post i stopped because i was getting ready to go to thailand. I bought a vegan passport from the UK's vegan society, that was very helpful in restaurants. it has a page in every language explaining what vegans eat. I used it in korea and several restaurants in thailand. Somebody had told me it would be a problem finding food without fish sauce, because although they are buddhists, they are all a bunch of meat eating 'buddhists'.

turns out the hardcore monks over there are real vegan buddhists so it was no problem at all. but now that i'm back im in a thai food kick. I took a cooking class while i was over there. but yeah. so i'm not gonna try to recollect the things i've eaten over the past few months, i'll just start from a couple days ago.

this morning i'm eating a banana chocolate chip muffin and an orange juice from rebeccas coffee shop in north park.

last night i ate green curry with mock duck and beer. green curry has eggplant, carrots, green beans, coconut milk sauce and thai green chili paste and curry spice with rice. later drank one of those neurosleep drinks.

for lunch yesterday i had stir fried broccoli with onion and apple pie (my mom made it). I had prepared a thick rice dish with tahini sauce and seitan, but i wasn't hungry enough to eat it for lunch, so i might eat that today at work. then i had like 6 cups of white tea (its supposed to have way more antioxidants than green). then i went to get an IPA beer after work.
okay from now on i'll update like normal.
